Thank you for considering a volunteer shift at our festival.
We value each of our volunteers as they are what makes this festival work smoothly
from set up to clean up, and during each of the festival days and nights.
--Typically shifts last 4 hours, although there are shifts that are 3 hours and a few are longer.
--Be sure to look at the shift times and be sure to read the job descriptions to make sure you qualify.
--There are jobs that require physical exertion, like lifting and climbing ladders. Other jobs are sitting at a table giving out information.
--It is extremely important that you arrive to your shift on time, so be sure to allow enough time to park,
get to the festival gates, check in and then report to your jobs.
--If your shift ends early, please contact Kate Reifers in the Green Area for another assignment.
--PLEASE REMEMBER THERE IS NO DRINKING ALCOHOL DURING YOUR VOLUNTEER SHIFT.
--If you know in advance that you will be unable to work your shift, please let us know. You can do this online by logging in to your profile, or by calling Susan Hensley at 619-548-7036 or email email@example.com
GATOR VOLUNTEER PACKAGE
Volunteer T-Shirt- Each volunteer will be given a volunteer T-shirt to be picked up in Green Area at the west end of the festival (behind the Mardi Gras Stage). Wear this T-shirt during your shift.
YOU MUST SIGN UP BY APRIL 24TH TO BE GUARANTEED A T-SHIRT.
The festival tries to supply the lowest cost parking possible. However, the days of free parking are gone. You will receive an email from me the week before the festival with parking and shuttle information.
FREE DAY AT THE FESTIVAL
In exchange for your work, you will receive free entrance to the festival for the entire day and evening of the day you work your shift. Those who work during set up (Tuesday through Thursday) and Clean Up (Monday) may choose another day to attend the festival (Friday, Saturday or Sunday). You receive one free day for every 4 hour shift you work. These free days are not transferable. To claim your free day, please enter through one of the Volunteer Entrance Gates.
CHECKING INTO THE FESTIVAL
You should enter through one of the Volunteer Entrance Gates at either end of the festival. You will be asked to sign your timecard and you will get a wristband for the day. The volunteer entrance is now automated, so you must sign up online in advance of the festival. If you did not sign the disclaimer when you signed up, you will be asked to do so at this point.
